5-Year-Old Boy Found

The article "5-Year-Old Virginia Boy Found" of Washington Post is fueled with intensity and reality. The article is about a 5-Year-old boy Kameron Wells who was kidnapped on October the 19th. He was at a supermarket with his grandfather and his sister and was taken away. The audacity of some people, it just makes me sick. It utterly amazes that people are that sick that they take others loved ones. How could you even do that? How could you take a child? I don't know if its for fun or they have a mental disorder, but it is sick. I can not even imagine the terror and fear of this poor boy. To be taken away from your family by a stranger would be terrifying! This article is also quite riveting. It astonishes me of the new advances in security. For instance this boy could call amber alert through all his fear to get help. Not only is this awesome to see new technology but this boy also had the bravery to use it. I am not sure if many people would have the courage to do that in this horrific of a situation. I am also amazed that he was found unharmed. Yet found at all! There is so many children kidnapped that are never found and it is so depressing but to hear that he was found. It is just terrific! To hear that he is unharmed worries me a bit though. What did they exactly take him for? If they din't hurt him then what did they do? It is such a mystery, what is wrong with the people in this world!

Librarians No Longer!

The article "No more Librarians" by Mr. Fisch of the fischbowl intrigues me because of how rediculous but how non rediculous it is. The article is about how the term library and librarians might become changed. The reason for this is because the people making up this issue believe that the term librarian is no longer valid, since the library is no longer just books and paper. They belive this is injustice to these workers. They are suggesting new names such as the scholar center and scholar in residence. Is there actually a purpose in changing the names though? Is it that big of a deal that it needs to be made into a priority? In my opinion, i think there is much more useful stuff we can be doing and helping instead of changing a silly name. I mean isn't it just a name? A name doesn't really symbolize anything, it's just so we can depict different things such as a book is called a book and not a magazine so we no the difference. I also belive that why would we change a silly name when its been apart of our culture for so long? I think there is just a point where people need to think, does it really matter what it is called? I guess I am not understanding why you should make such a big deal out of something so small. I can understand there point though because it can get confusing that it would be called a library when it doesn't actually mean that. Its a word out of context. I don't understand though that they focus in on one word thats out a place when there is a bunch of other words misused everyday. It can be ridiculous what issues we make up just so we can be happy. When are we truly happy though?
