Obama Elected for President Transition

The article "The Obama Transition: What Will Change Look Like?" fills me with numerous questions that need answering. First of all, the title states,"What will change look like?" This makes me want to ask the same thing, "What will change look like?" I believe it will be much more different then how it is now! I think this is mostly because of this transition between Republicans and Democrats. It is a major change and life style that will effect us all and our economy. We are used to a certain way and now it will change but over time we shall grasp this differnce that effects us. Another question I have is, "how will we differ within our life styles?" I believe we will differ greatly then before which may include tax hikes or gas price increase but it is all a matter of sticking with it until the end. Barack Obama will surely lead us to greatness and unity but is all just a matter of time. I also wonder if Obama is strong enough to lead our nation? Although he is our President I am not sure of his political backround. I am not sure if he was a senator or not but he does not seem as strong as he could be. This may take many months of prep work but I do not no how long a country can take with a weak president. A weak president gives a country vulnerability and that is not exceptable at these times. We need a president with military experience of some kind so that he/she can lead us to greatness in times of war. It might take time for president Obama to become this man but until then I will still stick with our leader even through differences.

5-Year-Old Boy Found

The article "5-Year-Old Virginia Boy Found" of Washington Post is fueled with intensity and reality. The article is about a 5-Year-old boy Kameron Wells who was kidnapped on October the 19th. He was at a supermarket with his grandfather and his sister and was taken away. The audacity of some people, it just makes me sick. It utterly amazes that people are that sick that they take others loved ones. How could you even do that? How could you take a child? I don't know if its for fun or they have a mental disorder, but it is sick. I can not even imagine the terror and fear of this poor boy. To be taken away from your family by a stranger would be terrifying! This article is also quite riveting. It astonishes me of the new advances in security. For instance this boy could call amber alert through all his fear to get help. Not only is this awesome to see new technology but this boy also had the bravery to use it. I am not sure if many people would have the courage to do that in this horrific of a situation. I am also amazed that he was found unharmed. Yet found at all! There is so many children kidnapped that are never found and it is so depressing but to hear that he was found. It is just terrific! To hear that he is unharmed worries me a bit though. What did they exactly take him for? If they din't hurt him then what did they do? It is such a mystery, what is wrong with the people in this world!

Librarians No Longer!

The article "No more Librarians" by Mr. Fisch of the fischbowl intrigues me because of how rediculous but how non rediculous it is. The article is about how the term library and librarians might become changed. The reason for this is because the people making up this issue believe that the term librarian is no longer valid, since the library is no longer just books and paper. They belive this is injustice to these workers. They are suggesting new names such as the scholar center and scholar in residence. Is there actually a purpose in changing the names though? Is it that big of a deal that it needs to be made into a priority? In my opinion, i think there is much more useful stuff we can be doing and helping instead of changing a silly name. I mean isn't it just a name? A name doesn't really symbolize anything, it's just so we can depict different things such as a book is called a book and not a magazine so we no the difference. I also belive that why would we change a silly name when its been apart of our culture for so long? I think there is just a point where people need to think, does it really matter what it is called? I guess I am not understanding why you should make such a big deal out of something so small. I can understand there point though because it can get confusing that it would be called a library when it doesn't actually mean that. Its a word out of context. I don't understand though that they focus in on one word thats out a place when there is a bunch of other words misused everyday. It can be ridiculous what issues we make up just so we can be happy. When are we truly happy though?

Media Training Sarah Palin?

The article "Media Training Sarah Palin (Again)" by Susan Harrow of S.F. Marketing & P.R. Examiner appeals to me because of the actual reality it consumes. In the article it talks about how Palin screwed up in an interview with Katie Couric from CBS News. It says that Palin should be training so she doesn't have the same mistake during the debate with Biden. To start off it some what amazes me that a person running for V.P. or someone as high up in the food chain as Palin wouldn't consider all the possible questions addressing her. It obviously shows a lack of preparation. Not to harp on Sarah Palin or anything, but someone of her statis should be a little bit more prepared for questions such as the one thrown at her and think of something to say off her feet. I also have to say though that the media can cut her a little slack to. Not to be a complete hypocrite of what I just said but she is a human being. Even though she might be running for vice president she still will make mistakes. Let's just hope she doesn't make to many more mistakes! I know though that if I was in her position I would choke like no other! So in her defense I wouldn't do any better. How would the media actually train Palin though? I didn't quite understand what they meant by that. Are they actually going to help her get better? Or is it where they are just going to do more interviews with her and hope she learns a lesson and doesn't fall on her face. The celebrity world bewilders me with all the gossip and nonsense that goes along with it. When will people be a little nicer to each other and treat everyone like equals. The world's a mystery and we will never solve it!

The Large Hadron Collider Rap

The article "The Large Hadron Collider Rap" by Mr. Fisch is ridiculously true. The article talks about how the large hadron collider information was made into a rap song on you tube to supposedly help students understand it better. I saw the rap on you tube and I can not really make heads or tails of it. Is this for real? Why would people make a rap song about something so serious? Is it to help students better understand the subject? In my opinion I find it to be a great way to understand something better because I am a visual learner and a more hands on learner. So by hearing and seeing this rap song or poetry song or whatever song it is, it helps me get a better grasp on it. It's almost like it hypnotizes you, and even if you don't quite understand it you can still almost repeat the entire rap over again and in a way it is stuck in your head for good. At the same time though, I find it to be over dramatic. I say this because they are over doing it with rapping. It's one thing if they are singing but RAPPING!!! I mean I understand  that they are doing it for the good of the students, but seriously who wants to see a bunch of white girls and guys rapping! It's just like Bill Nye the science guy. At first sure, he is pretty funny and tolerant but after a while you just get tired of the guy. So in my opinion it's a good thing to have these goofy educational videos but at the same time a bad thing.  The fact of the matter is are you a visual learner who learns with what they see or are you an aural learner who learns by listening?

What is Tweeting?

The article "Tweeting a Funeral" by Mr. Fisch  gives me mixed emotions. This article talks about how a 3 year old-boy, Marten, was killed when two cars collided into him while he was sitting at an ice cream store and at the funeral reporters did a knew thing called tweeting. This article put me into a bit of an awkward situation. At first I was saddened to here the news of this poor boys death but then at the same time to here the advances with making with technology is extraordinary.  This poor boy obviously died because of wreckless driving and it makes me disgusted to see all the people in our world without a single care to anything. People in this world can be hurtful and mean and this is what happens when wrecklessnes and immaturity plays a role with the dangerous environment that we live in. Lets stop talking about the sadness and talk about something good. What is tweeting? Is it a bird, is it a plane, no its crazy new technology! Tweeting is a way of sending live reports using text messages from his phone to the website using a program called tweeting. I cannot believe how intelligent the human race is becoming to use our technology for doing so much creative stuff. Especially cell phones! Cell phones have been used in so many creative and interesting ways. For example High Schools and Colleges have students right different reports and projects using text messaging and for some classes you  are  required cell phones! This world is becoming so technology smart it's unbelieveable! This article was filled with emotion that you could not believe it was almost bioploar! For that reason I am very glad for reading this article.

Chinese Milk Powder contaminated with Melamine sickens 1,253 babies

The article "Chinese Milk Powder Contaminated with Melamine Sickens 1,253 Babies "by James Macartney and Sophie Yu from Times online is very depressing and filled with emotion. The article is about a Chinese milk powder that has been contaminated with melamine and has sickened and killed over 1,000 babies. This saddens me because most of everything we own comes from China and to here that products people use every day are being contaminated with different substances is wrong. A while back I heard that Action figures made in China were being made with lead and that kids playing with them were being poisoned. If everything in the United States is pretty much from China and is made in China then most of our belongings we own could be poisoned or contaminated. Why can't they just put normal materials into their products without being cheapskates and trying to earn a couple more bucks while at the same time injuring many people? Why can't people have a heart instead of thinking of jealousy and greed? I ponder these questions every day and find out how ridiculous are world actually is. If we can't make simple products such as milk powder and dog food without having a total epidemic than I don't know what this world is coming to! Sooner or later this world is going to come to an end if we don't start acting with heart and love instead of greed and hate. That's just my opinon and I am sticking to it but if we don't start taking our opinions and making them become reality we will never reach our goals and get anything done!
