Aurora Schoolkids Commemorate September 11, 2001
The article Aurora School kids Commemorate Sept. 11 by Abigail Curtis of the Rocky Mountain news completely astonishes me. The article describes how kids from preschool through fifth grade at Jewell Elementary school in Aurora are still morning Sept. 11 even if they do not remember it. This shows how dedicated we are to our great country and how proud we are of all the people who either fought for us or died for us. That day will never be forgotten no matter who you are as long as you are a proud patriot of this outstanding country. Whats even more amazing is how people who weren't even born when this tragedy occured still have the heart to show respect and love to the ones who fell that faithful morning of 9/11/01. These people lived for our country and died for our country and shall never be forgotten to the end of this country. These young kids even had great things to say about the memorial and also showed respect and silence while listening to the stories of these incredible Americans that gave their lives for us. One little girl said to the reporters that she knew the planes had crashed and that the twin towers were destroyed along with the other fellow Americans. This shows that even though she might not have been born during the occurence of 9/11/01, many people have passed and shared their memories down to her and millions of more children of the next generation. I am pleased that our country doesn't want us to forget and doesn't want us to go on with our lives not knowing about this tragedy. They want us to remember and learn from this horrific event and stay true to the red, the white, and the blue. I will never forget. 9/11/01.
